Privacy and Security

I think internet is not a private place to put anything on it. I remember one time I went to a party with my friends and my friends took some pictures of us. I didn't really want any of the pictures of me in it but my friend post of with all of us in it. I was tagged on it and people who were friends with me and the people who were tagged was shown the picture to. I didn't like the idea of tagging because when you put as private it sometimes mean its for yourself or your friend's friends can also see. This situation is just like the article from "Facebook Privacy Is So Confusing Even the Zuckerberg Family Photo Isn't Private".

  1. There is supposedly a way to prevent other people from tagging you without permission on Facebook now, I advise you to look into it. I am not quite sure how to do so though, as I got rid of my own Facebook some time ago.

  2. Yeah, that is a really annoying feature that can even be dangerous. If you live alone and someone tags you as being out with friends, someone might know you are not home and break in to your house. There is a setting you can change so people can't tag you without your authorization, but now everyone knows about that.

  3. I also agree that anything you put on the internet is not private. Even on Facebook, if your account is hacked, they have access to all your messages. The article you quoted also gives good insight on how nobody is secure.
